The reason for this guide is to help civilians improve there roleplay experience with medical personel. This will help everyone in city have more fun in the longrun please take the time to read this guide and if you have any suggestions of things to be added to it fell free to contact Mactavish.
If you need medical assistance use /999 in the chat and give a description of the reason you need them. When the medic arrives tell them your injuries by using /me if you do not do this they will be forced to just go by what it says in the medical system. It is a good idea to think about how you want to roleplay your injuries before the medic arrives and think about how you are going to word it in /me. Pay attention to the chat the medic may ask you for alot of different information and they will need your input. After being treated be sure to thank your medic then move on with your day. If you are transported to the hospital do not hang around after you are discharged medics have reports to write along with other stuff to do so you should get on with whatever it is you need to do next.
When you use /999 try to keep it simple but descriptive. Be aware all on duty medics see what you say in the call! It shows up on our call list and it helps us understand the situation and deploy the correct resources to you. Remember putting any OOC text in your 999 call would be a rule break and the call may not be attended to. Everything in the call should be IC. If you are bugged use /report to call a staff member if no staff member comes to you then you can RP out an injury but be aware medics will not just revive you if they attend a scene then you MUST RP it out.
When the medic arrives on scene the first thing they will do is ask you in some sort of way what your injuries are for example "/me Checks Patients for Injuries". This is the part where you are able to RP out your injuries using /me. Keep in mind simply doing "/me yes" or "/me no injuries" is not a valid response you obviously need a medic for a reason.
When roleplaying your injuries you are able to respond with anything that pertains to the RP situation that caused you to be injured. Please remember to follow server rules when doing medical rp so you should avoid situations that include the likes of mental health issues unless you gain permission from server management before hand.
When roleplaying out your injuries you can not lie in /me there is no reason to lie about it. We are here to have fun and enjoy the RP so if you get shot say you have a GSW. Remember to follow the situation that resulted in the injury.
Examples of some valid injuries
/me neck is broken and is unconscious
/me legs have shards of glass sticking in them
/me leg is broken and bleeding
/me has stab wound to the torso
/me has large cut to the head
If you have just been in a gun fight and you have GSW's be sure to state where you are shot in your /me's and how many GSW's you have. When the medic is trying to perform actions be sure to reply in /me if the action worked or did not. For example if the medic is trying to stop bleeding you could respond that the blood is soaking through the bandage.
These are just afew examples to help you on your way your Medical RP is as good or bad as you make it so please try to think about the scenario that got you injured and try make it as realistic as possible.
